Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas! Rylee got tons of presents ... more than she knows what to do with! On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpa's to bake cookies and open Christmas jammies.

Christmas morning we opened presents at home, then went back to Grandma's for Christmas breakfast.

Rylee got tons of toys, books, and clothes from Santa.

After Christmas we spent the weekend in Sandy with the Larsen side of the family! This is Ry's new dress.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas, too!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

We did Rylee's Christmas pictures this past week and had some cards printed. They turned out really cute!! (Except that it took almost 200 pictures and a lot of crying - from both of us - to get only 4 good ones!) Anyway, she sure is a cute little baby when she wants to be. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

This one is our favorite!

She loves to play with her toes.

She is having a great time with the presents, too.

Such a cheese!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Rylee's First Christmas Season

Rylee is loving her first Christmas season!! This weekend we watched The Grinch while we decorated the house. While mom and dad put up the tree, Rylee helped wrap presents! As expected she loves wrapping paper. Next year we will remember not to buy the cheap kind, though. By the time she was done playing she was red from head to toe!! Grandma Alderman also got her a fun Christmas onesie! (It is hard to see in the picture but it says "mom and dad's best present ever"!) We also took Rylee shopping to pick her Christmas present. To Chad's delight, she picked the dump truck over the baby doll. She is already turning out to be a tom boy! Hope everyone is having a happy holiday season!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We went down to Great Grandma and Grandpa Alderman's for Thanksgiving this year. Rylee had a ton of fun playing with the cousins and aunts and uncles!! (Mom and dad had a ton of fun not having to entertain her 24/7 for a while!!) We had an excellent feast and lots of good company and we hope everyone else's holiday was as great as ours! Rylee, of course, had to eat rice cereal for her Thanksgiving dinner. Apparently the highchair tray tasted better, though ...

Mmmmm ... yum!

We decided to try Rylee on some cereal to see if she would start sleeping longer at night with a fuller tummy. She was pretty funny trying to figure out how to swallow it. As with all babies learning to eat food, I'm sure, most of it ended up on her bib ... and face ... and in her ears ... and on her legs ... Then she decided she needed to sneeze so we wore it too. Anyway, it was a fun experience! Here are some pictures and a little video clip of it. Enjoy!!

Immunizations - Yuck!!

So Rylee had her 4 month immunizations on Monday. (Someone should really warn you about how sick it makes the baby feel!) After a long night, an even longer day, and another night she seems to finally be feeling better. Her checkup went really well. She is a whoppping 15 1/2 lbs - which puts her in the 86th percentile! but the doctor says that is because she is solid muscle. She loves to kick and roll and stand and play and she NEVER seems to hold still. Everyone says she is going to be running around getting into things before we know it!! They said she is way above average in both her physical strength and her social skills (which was not hard to believe since she babbles constantly already) and Dr. Firth told his med student that she is the cutest baby in Cache Valley! The shots were rough but she is still smiling!!!

Growing so fast!!

Well, it has been a few weeks since I posted anything so I figured it was about time. We are all doing pretty well now, after some bad colds. We are keeping busy with work and school and trying to keep up with Rylee.

She is getting pretty good at rolling over now. (Especially from her stomach to her back.) She doesn't like to have tummy time at all, so every time we put her on her stomach she rolls right over onto her back.

She will smile at almost anything now - especially when her daddy plays with her! Everyone tells us how great it is that she will smile so much and they love her at daycare. The little girls love to sit on the floor by her and scare her just to watch her laugh!

We spent Halloween at Grandma's house helping to answer the door and seeing all of the trick-or-treaters. Rylee dressed up as a pumpkin (what every baby is for Halloween)! She loved seeing all of the cute kids at the door.

Baby Rylee is 3 1/2 months old now and going strong! We hope to see you all soon. Check back later for more pictures!!

Go Aggies!

We took Baby Rylee to the USU vs. BYU game on Friday night. Too bad we lost, but at least we scored some!! Rylee loves being outside so much and she is so social - I think she loves the games because there are SO many people. Everyone sitting around us always says how cute she is. We made the rounds and visited all our friends and Rylee put on a pretty good show. Go Aggies!!

Baby Rylee's Blessing Day

To backtrack a little, here are some pictures from Rylee's blessing day (9/7/08). She looked pretty cute all dressed up (even though she didn't like it that much!) Thanks so much for everyone who came and supported us. We loved seeing you all!

Hi everyone!

We decided to start this little page so we can share what is going on with our family with everyone (especially those who are far away enough that we don't get to see you very often). Mostly it will probably be full of pictures of Rylee - because that is what I like to do most! So keep checking with us when you are bored and surfing the web. Love you all!
