Wild Horse 2009

We had a fantastic time camping at Wild Horse over Memorial weekend! In one day we had blazing hot sunshine, high winds, rain, and even some hail. Chad's family has renamed the campground the "Four Seasons Campground". Luckily, our tent trailer held up very well and we didn't have any leaks at all. Chad got to do some fishing, we rode 4-wheelers, played in the dirt, and roasted marshmallows! Rylee loved her first camping trip and we are already planning our next trip. "Vintage" Tent Trailer

For those of you who haven't heard our exciting news, we bought a tent trailer so we can take Rylee camping!! It is a 1983 Starflyer (yes, that is older than I am). It seems to be pretty well taken care of, though, and with a few personal touches it will be really nice. Our first adventure will be in Wild Horse, NV over Memorial weekend. We are really excited to spend the weekend with some of Chad's family. Chad is very excited to go fishing for the first time this year. The only part we are not looking forward to is about 14 hours total in the truck with one of us squished into the back of Chad's truck sitting on the jump seat because Ry's carseat can't be back there. (Very squishy.) Anyway, here are a few pictures of the trailer. (In true 80's fashion - from what I'm told - everything is brown, orange, and yellow.)

Almost 10 Months!

We can hardly believe it, but Rylee will be 10 months old on Saturday!! With all our family and friends who have just had babies and those on the way it made me think of when Rylee was born. (It seems like it just barely happened!) Anyway, I thought it would be fun to pull up the pictures of her when she was born and was amazed at how much she has grown and changed! I decided to post a little time-line of Rylee's first 10 months. (Probably it would have been a better idea to wait until she turns 1 year-old and do it, but I have time now - which doesn't happen a lot - so I am just doing it now. Maybe I will update it when she turns 1.) Anyway, enjoy!

Playing at the Park

We took Rylee to the little park by our house and she loved it! We take her down the slide on our laps and she giggles and squeals the whole way down. As soon as we get at the bottom she starts kicking her legs and flapping her arms to go again! She wasn't so sure about the swings at first, but I think as soon as we find somewhere with a baby swing-seat she will like it a lot more!
