Zoo Lights

Since Grandma bought us season passes to the zoo this year we decided to go to Zoo Lights. It was not as cold as we thought it would be, and it was a lot of fun to walk around the zoo all lit up with lights.

Grandma bought Rylee a chocolate, caramel covered marshmallow before we left. It wouldn't have tasted as good if it wasn't all over her face. What a fun night and maybe the start of a new Christmas tradition!

Vegas and American Choppers

A couple weeks ago Chad and I got to go to Las Vegas for a few days. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and got tickets to see the Live Build Off episode of American Choppers. Chad was so excited to walk around the hotel and see the guys from the different shops just hanging out. He even got to show some of the guys from Sr.'s crew his "mini-chopper" and get a picture with them. He is still beaming about it! We also got to do some traditional Vegas sight-seeing.

We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel where the live show was

It was too cold to swim, but how awesome is this pool?

Walking around the Forum shops

We figured we better have at least one
picture of us together

The day of the show Chad got this fortune at lunch

Waiting in line for the show

Even though we were at the very back it
was a pretty small room and we were able
to see a lot once we stood up

The stage for the live build off

By the last night I was really sick
with a bad cold, but I wanted to see the
fountains at Bellagio

This show was set to the Titanic theme song

It was worth a late-night venture out to the strip

While we were gone Rylee and Jayden got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa. (Rylee was so excited to have FOUR sleepovers!) The kids were pretty sick, too (sorry Mom), but they had a great time with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Mikey. Plus they got to see Grandma and Grandpa Alderman twice that weekend. It was a lot harder for me to leave them than it was for them to be without us, of course.

Poor sick kiddo

Grandma sent me lots of pictures so I
wouldn't miss the kids too much

Grandma bought lots of new toys and iPad apps
to keep the kids busy

It was such a fun trip for Chad and I to get away. Hopefully we won't have to wait 5 years until our next one!  :-)
