4-Years-Old

Rylee had such a fun birthday this year! We got to have her cousin Reagan up to Logan for several days to have a sleepover and help Ry celebrate. She gave Rylee her first birthday present and they dressed up as princesses and played with the toys all night! The next day we went to the splash pad in Providence. It was a little cooler than we had expected, so we decided to leave early. Since we had time to kill before meeting some family for lunch, the kids and I decided to go visit Grandma at work. After saying hello we went outside to color and play while we waited for Grandma to be done with work. Grandma and Grandpa Alderman gave Rylee her birthday presents that afternoon, too, and the girls got to play with them all evening while I had to work.

Saturday we had a birthday party for Uncle Mikey and Rylee. We started with lunch at Pizza Pie Cafe (one of Ry's new favorites). They must have liked it because Reagan turned to me after lunch and said, "This is the best restaurant ever!" After lunch we went to the Fun Park where the girls played in the soft play jungle gym, Daddy and Mikey bowled, and we all played lots of arcade games. We won enough tickets for the girls to each pick a handful of small prizes. When everyone was worn out from running and playing we headed back to Grandma's house for cake, ice cream, balloons and presents. Uncle Mikey was such a good sport to put up with Ry's request for a "pink birthday". I even had a pink cake picked out until I went to the store and saw the Angry Birds one. It was too perfect to pass up! Rylee got spoiled (as usual) and everyone ate way too much.

Rylee has kept busy all week playing with all her toys, coloring books, art supplies, clothes and everything else she got spoiled with this year. She is so proud of herself to know how to roller skate! (Grandma had a good find with Barbie roller skates that have a setting to make the wheels not actually roll, so she can just walk along in them!) She has also worn her Angry Birds jammies almost every night since then.

Thank you everyone for making this such a fun time for my baby girl! Each year things like this get more fun. And Rylee and Reagan were already planning Ry's party for next year!!
